The pier has now been extrended, done simply by selecting edge mode, clicking on all the edges on the tip of the pier and holding shift + move tool, once i had the desired lenght, i then extruded side-ways, to give a large square area, im not sure what this areas purpose is becasause it literally has two shed type structures on it, in one corner, and nothing else.
